We were treated to four amazing presentations by our student guests, Lauren Gallant, Kirsten Smythe, Sawyer Stoyanovich, and Adelle Strobel. Judges awarded Lauren, a Ph.D. Candidate from the University of Ottawa, the prize for best presentation. She won a gift certificate to the Clock Tower Brew Pub, our long time venue. Lauren shared her research project on the identification of historical sites used by the ancient Thule people and their impacts on Arctic lake systems as a means to better understand how human activity can impact the chemistry of remote Arctic Lakes. We thank all of the students for their participation. We’re looking forward to doing this again next year!
