Greetings Laurentian SETAC,

To highlight the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, L-SETAC’s Diversity in Science Committee is thrilled to invite you to join us from the comforts of your own home for a special screening of the film Picture A Scientist, followed by an engaging discussion.

Picture a Scientist chronicles the experiences of several women pursuing careers in science, and offers perspectives on how to make science more diverse, equitable, and open to all. The film was an official selection of the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.

We hope that the film and the discussion that follows will foster new perspectives on how we can all contribute to making science more equitable, diverse and inclusive.

Film viewing: Anytime starting at 6 pm on Friday February 19 and ending at 10 pm on Monday February 22 (1 h 35 m long)

Discussion: Wednesday February 24 from 7 to 9 pm

RSVP: Please RSVP by Wednesday February 17 at 12 pm to receive instructions on how to access the film and Zoom meeting

Cost:  Pay what you want to support diversity in science initiatives (suggested $5 donation or an amount of your choosing)

Contact: Leah Chibwe (leahchibwe@gmail.com)
